Camila Ospina Gaitán is a Colombian artist. She graduated with merit from the Contemporary Art Practice MFA at Edinburgh University. She studied Visual Arts at Javeriana University in Bogotá, and in 2016, she was awarded the LAP program scholarship from the Japanese government, which allowed her to study in Nagoya at Nanzan University and in Tokyo at Sophia University. Her projects are developed using various media such as sculpture, installation, and photography. Currently, her work focuses on the sexualisation and objectification of female bodies. She has exhibited in various cities including Tokyo, Bogotá, Miami, and Edinburgh. In 2022, she had her first solo show, "Thorn in the Flesh", in Edinburgh, which was highly reviewed. In 2023, she was awarded the Great Britain Sasakawa Award and had her solo show "Visual Narratives and Pleasure" in Kyoto, Japan. In 2025, she was awarded the Hawthornvale Mentorship Program, which allowed her to develop Unconquered Natures – Topicalism, an exhibition shown at the Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop.

Camila Ospina Gaitán es una artista colombiana. Se graduó con mérito del programa de Prácticas de Arte Contemporáneo (MFA) en la Universidad de Edimburgo. Estudió Artes Visuales en la Universidad Javeriana de Bogotá, y en 2016 fue galardonada con la beca LAP del gobierno japonés, que le permitió estudiar en la Universidad de Nanzan, en Nagoya, y en la Universidad de Sophia, en Tokio. Sus proyectos se desarrollan en distintos medios como la escultura, la instalación y la fotografía. Actualmente, su trabajo se centra en la sexualización y objetualización de los cuerpos femeninos. Ha expuesto en diferentes ciudades como Tokio, Bogotá, Miami y Edimburgo. En 2022 tuvo su primera exposición individual, "Thorn in the Flesh", en Edimburgo, la cual fue muy bien recibida. En 2023 recibió el premio Great Britain Sasakawa y presentó su exposición "Placer Visual y Narrativo" en Kioto, Japón. En 2025 fue seleccionada para el programa de mentoría Hawthornvale, lo que le permitió desarrollar Unconquered Natures – Topicalism, una exposición exhibida en el Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop.
